Isn't it beautiful. Thats what I thought too. I haven't sewn on it yet. I am afraid that when I do I won't be able to stop. It is an Aurora 440 Quilters Edition. I read the owners manual for 2 hours. I read it over and over. I put all my precious little presser feet in the little box and I laid in my bed with a smile on my face. I also had a bit of a stomach ache because beautiful sewing machines do not cost $200. Just so you know!

Why, oh Why
So you know I have 5 kids. I didn't realize how much damage they could do. For some odd reason they really like to break things. Especially my things. And especially these three boys that I had right in a row. Usually they break things that mean a lot to me or that I really need. For example a few weeks ago they ruined my round brush that I use every day to do my hair. They totally smashed it. Or they ruin things with spray paint which if you go back far enough on this blog you can witness. Well, about a week or so ago my broom came up missing. So I bought a new one a couple days ago and low and behold if those little buggers didn't break that dang broom in half. I just do not know what would posess 3 little boys to break a broom in half, but I am not a little boy and I have never been a little boy so I guess I would never know. For lack of my camera being out of commission right now all you get is a picture of the broom I wish I had so I could fly away to a place where little boys do not break my stuff. Even my broom. Which I need to sweep up the crumbs that they leave all over the floor.

Hopefully my next post will be sooner and be full of happiness!!!

Puppies
About ten days ago My dads dog Gus and our dog Kate became the proud parents of 7 yes 7! Llewellin Setter puppies. Oh man are they cute. They are a little bit of a rare breed. You see my maiden name is Llewllyn. It is Welsch. These Setters are the only true breed of setters left in the world. We actually purchased ours from a very good kennel in Arkansas, and had them flown here as puppies. So here are some pics of the dad, he is the one in the kennel. The mom, she is the one my dad has a hold of. And of the cute little 7 dwarfs. In a few days I will post a few pics when their eyes get open. We love our Llewellin Setters. They are the best family/hunting dogs you could ask for. They are very loving and loyal.

Summer
We have had a pretty fun summer. Spent a little time at Grandpas Cabin, a little time at the ball park (oh I mean a lot of time at the ball park) Done a little water sliding. And just a little general goofing off. This mom has not gotten anything done though. I am ready for some serious mom/sewing/time!!

Bittersweet
Well, I have opened my own quilt pattern company. I know crazy huh! I think it's crazy anyway. For those of you that don't know, I have been designing quilts for Izzy & Ivy Designs a while now. Well, I am going out on my own. It will surely be an adventure. My new company is called Sweet Ruby Designsand I hope to be having a booth at Spring Quilt Market next year in Salt Lake City. Cross your fingers. I will soon be posting my patterns on the site over there so if you know anyone interested direct them my way. And say a prayer or two cuz I am sure I will need it.

Update
Oh no I did not die. I know some of you might wish I had. But I am still here. I am just busy. I do a few things here and there you know. Here is a quick update on life. I got myself a new toy. A laptop. And it sure hasn't helped me blog more, but it has helped me try and straighten out the books at my husbands business. I have written 4 more quilt patterns that are supposed to be coming out at quilt market at the end of the month, but I am not sure if they are or not. The quilts will be there though and after market I will be sure and do a lovely post and show you how fab they are. At least I think they are fab. My children are playing a lot of sports. Baseball, soccer, dance. We are all over the place. One more dance competition to go and we are done with those. Kenadee has taken first place in her solo at every competition though. And that is quite exciting. She is in the top category for her age, so there is some tough competition. My baby is old. 7 months. She of coarse is still the cutest thing ever, and the best baby there ever was. She smiles always and shows off her dimples. She also sleeps 7 to 8 hours every night. I don't really deserve her. Oh, wait yes I do because I have those 3 crazy boys that spray paint my house and stuff. I also got this really cool camera and so here are some of the pics we have taken with it!

Toot! Toot!
I don't do this very often. Or, maybe I do and I just don't want to know that I do. Anyway. Here it is. My horn.
Have any of you seen this

It is the Poppin' Posies Quilt from Izzy n Ivy. Designed by Me, Myself, and I. Yes, me!!! I am lucky enough to have some fabulous friends that let me ride their coat tails and design quilts for their pattern company. I absolutely love quilting. I love to figure out what little piece I want to go where. I actually dream about them at night.
I should have about 5 more quilt patterns coming out at Spring Quilt Market this Spring. For you non quilty people Quilt Market is where all the quilt shops go to purchase all the new fabrics and patterns for the upcoming season, and if you want to get your patterns known in the quilty world that is where you go. Izzy n Ivy had a booth at fall Market, but I was not there due to the fact that Ava was about 2 days old. The booth was phenomenol and won Best New Booth Award.
I always think that I am going to put more of my quilting things on my blog but I never do. I am going to try harder though. First I have to remember to take pics of things. I should now though because I have a fab new camera to do that with. Anywho go and check out all the cutest patterns that Izzy n Ivy have and where to purchase them!!!

Randomness
Thoughts for today
*I like to eat broccoli, but my gall bladder does not.
*I think everyone should wear polka dot pajamas and mismatched socks.
*It should either snow a lot or the sun should come out.
*Fabric makes me smile.
Over Christmas break my cousin and his fam came to visit. It was like being on a staycation. We had a fab time doing things with them. One day we went to Soldier Hollow to go tubing. Here we all are after they got done with their fun times.

These two cuties posed for this pic at the fam christmas party for me. Don't they have big muscles.

I cannot believe how big my little baby is getting. She has found her hands and now constantly eats them. I should be humble about her but I can't. I think she is the cutest thing ever, and I spoil her rotten. And I don't even care.

Blessings!
So the past few Sundays I have been giving my husband this lecture on going to church. I start out with the line "I have made an executive decision, We are not going to miss church anymore." I go on and on and then I get into the part about how if we want blessings that we need to get up and get going and all that jazz.
Well this Sunday wasn't any different. We got to church, made it through the whole thing. Got out to the car. Put the key in and nothing. The battery was dead. I have been having a little bit of a car issue lately. I had to have my doors all fixed and then that led to the light and the dinger not turning off ever. Well, I guess the light had decided to come on while we were in church.
My dear husband decided to walk home and get his truck to come and jump us. We only live about 5 blocks away so don't be feeling to bad. I guess he got home to find that his truck had a dead battery. Lucky for us (maybe that is not quite the right term) my grandma lives in an apartment attached to our house. She is in Califonia visiting my uncle for a month. Brandon ran over and got her keys to borrow her car. Any of you that have seen my hubby know that he is quite a large guy. Especially compared to my smallish grandma. So when he climbed in her car he hit his head on her garage door opener. He didn't realize what he had hit his head on. He continued to back out of the garage and of course the garage door was going down from the head hitting. So the back of grandmas car is now missing the fin and has some nice scratches up the trunk. The garage door is nice and rounded and had to be put back on track. Lucky for us it does go up and down now and doesn't look to bad after some banging.
He did finally make it back to get us at the church. Luckily it wasn't too cold and no one noticed us (the mechanics family) sitting in our car that was not running. The first words out of his mouth were. "What about all those blessings for going to church!" Pictures to follow

A New Year
Oh the new year is here. My new year is totally going to be soooo different than last year. First off my friend talked me into going to Zumba at the Community Center with her. It is 3 times a week at 6:30 in the morning. It is super fun. But man is my butt sore, and my legs, and my stomach, and pretty much all of me. I guess that means it is working. I am not motivated to get up and go to things, but if someone is picking me up then I will go.
Next big change.......... My husband owns his own business and it has become necessary for my to work in his office for him. I don't really mind. I mean it is our livelyhood. The only downfall to this is that I am not really a scheduled kind of a person. You know I really am a fly by the seat of my pants kinda girl. I like to just flit around town and visit all my friends. Hang out at the flower shop and the quilt shop and do whatever my little heart desires.
I do clean my house, and cook, and be a mom sometimes....
So now I get to be a REAL grown up. I have to do the laundry at a certain time and all the other chores. And I have to get up. I hope I can figure this out. Thank goodness I have a angel for a baby. I mean her middle name is Angela, she ought to be an angel. So wish me luck on my journey of working everyday, I will try to not hurt my husband while I am with him constantly.

A better day (kinda)
So the cancer scare is over. My grandma, who lives in an apartment attached to my house found a lump but it is benign. THANK heavens. The ward party is over. The baby is better. I am feeling a bit more sane today. Thanks for the love Lola, and Bonnie. I will wish you a happy last weekend of shopping today and begin cyber giving tomorrow again!!!! On a terrible note. My cousin lost her husband last night in a car accident. She has 5 small children. Keep her in your prayers.

Give, Give, Give!!!
I am about to confess something about myself. Very few people know this about me. Are you ready..........
Are you sure..........
Are you really sure...........
I love................
SOCKS
Its true
I have to confess. I love them all. Short socks, long socks, white ones and black ones. I don not however love nylons. Only socks. I think everyone should have some fun kind of socks. I was once in a blog sock exchange done by The Smiling Infidel. It was one of the funnest things ever. If you look at my profile picture you might have a clue as to my sock issue. I do not own a lot of crazy socks. Most of them are crazy, but there are not an over abundance of socks. I leave that to the shoes. So todays Cyber gift are some fun socks. I hope the picture is okay. These have cute little birdies all over them. I might have to save up and get some. The one thing about socks is no one ever sees them, so if you are feeling wild and crazy you can bring it out in your socks. I wore my flame ones to church on Sunday, under my knee high black boots. It was a rush.

Another Gift
So today it snowed a whole bunch. I don't know maybe 8 or 10 inches. It makes me want to eat soup. A while back I had some soup that was fabulous. It was from a resturaunt in Alpine called The Blue Lemon. I haven't been there, but I have only heard wonderful things about it. The soup I loved was Tomato Bisque, I am not sure if that is it in this picture or not, but this is from their website. So if you are cold like me then here is a bowl of soup to warm you up!!

On another note! I just want to know about these word verification things. You know, when you go to someones blog and you leave a comment and you have to type in your word for verification. Well, today I was leaving a comment and went down and my verification word was buger, Yes, buger. I had a really good laugh. In fact, I have really been enjoying those little words lately. They really used to bug me. I just hated typing them in. But, if they are going to be fun then I will be happy to type them in. I hope everyone that leaves a comment today gets a really good verification word!!

Gift #3
So todays gift is not a fun gift! I am really really sorry for that. This morning as I was wandering around, well it was more like running around (in my new cyber nikes of coarse), doing my usual morning duties. I noticed something not so nice. I happened to glance in my front room. This is my nice room. The room that is always clean, the one with the nice clean couch, and the piano. Well, one of those dogs had puked on my nice couch. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!! So lucky for me I have this handy little tool. So I pulled out my Little Green Super Hero Machine. This thing is the very best thing ever. I want every one to have one. It is perfect for the dog puke on the couch, or the kid puke on the couch, or the floor, or any other spill that frequently happens at my house. The best thing is that you can just leave the cleaner in it for next time. So happy Little Green to you all today!!!

Gift #2
Today was a crazy day!!! Man am I glad it is over. We blessed our baby Ava today. I was up till 1:30 last night cleaning and cooking. It was a wonderful event. All that running around reminded me of my favorite running around shoes. I really like Nike shoes. All of them. Never met a Nike I didn't like. I thought these ones looked fun. Maybe Santa will bring them to me to add to my collection!! But, if not Happy Cyber Nike to you!

Gifts!!!
So my Internet has not been working. Bummer. But, it is fixed. I wanted to start this at the beginning of December but it didn't work out that way. I love Christmas. Yes, I love Christmas. The reason I love it is because I love to give things to people. If you came to my house and you loved something that was mine I would just give it to you. That is how much I love to give. I love the feeling you get when you give things. Well, this year I am poor. Yes, very poor. But, I love all you bloggers and you give to me every day. Sooooo, I have decided to Cyber Give. Every day from now until Christmas I am going to Cyber give you a gift on my blog. I want you to share your gifts and comment please. Every day I will take the comments and save them and at the end of the month (at random) there will be some real gifts to be had. So if you comment every day then you can have that many chances for a real gift. Mind you I have been to International Quilt Market a few times and have accumulated a few too many Fat Quarter Bundles and such things. I also have some non-quilter gifts too. Sooo share the wealth and advertise if you want to.
Todays gift is a wonderful thing that my friend Shan gave me once for my Birthday. These are the most wonderful socks I have ever owned. I do not know what I would do without them. They really do work. I can rub a little lotion on my feet at night, put on these socks and in the morning TAH DAH!!! Its like I have new feet. So todays Cyber Gift is Bath and Body Works Shea Socks

Veterans Day
Remember this cute boy! He is hilarious! I mean he says the most off the wall things. He recently had an IQ test at school. The school psychologist was amazed. IQ test are made up of several different parts. He was normal in all parts except for the section on Perceptual Reasoning. In this section he scored in the Superior rating. Now this did not suprise me in the least. He has always been very good at reasoning out of things. Not in normal ways either. His teacher told me that he can answer a math problem correctly, but that when you ask him how he got his answer his reply would be "I dont know but don't you worry the answer is right" and it always is. Well anyway, yesterday he went outside before school, came right back in and declared to me that the kids did not have school today because there was a flag in our yard.(The boy scouts put them there on National Holidays) He also told me that it was Vetratarians day! Well, I was amazed I had no idea we had a holiday for Vetranarians who were in the war and didn't eat meat!
Later on that day, he had to call my dad and see if grandpa would help him out at the pinewood derby. He asked him, and my dad said yes. Then Reese said " oh and grandpa one more thing. You know that truck with the camper on it that you have for sale. I was thinking maybe you could save it for me. Then in a few years when I can drive I could have it." I have no idea what my dad said but I almost bust out laughing. What nine year old is worried about what to drive. And would want to drive a 1970 something truck with a camper on the back. Only my Reese.
On another note, this morning my dog Diego came scampering in the Kitchen with something around him. I am always telling my daughter Kenadee to pick up her hair accesories. Well, I guess Diego has taken it upon himself to help her out. Yes, folks that is a headband wrapped around his middle. I have no idea how he managed that but Kenadee should be very happy with him!!
