Desperation!!

So today I had to run to 2 different beauty supply stores. These stores are not for children. There are signs even. So in my desperation to keep my three monkeys happy I stopped by the Dairy Queen. I know what you are thinking. (She is Crazy) You are right. As the nice Dairy Queen lady was handing me out 3 of the giantist Small vanilla cones I had ever seen. I said "Oh my gosh I am nuts" the Dairy Queen lady must have thought so to as she handed me a giant stack of napkins. As I handed Monkey #3 his ice cream he totally freaked out. It was just too big for him. WHAT! An ice cream cone that is to big. Are you kidding me! I had to have the lady scoop half of it off before he would accept it. Sometimes I wonder what the heck is up with those kids.
So as I am driving I am trying really hard to not look into the back seat. I just knew what was going to happen. But after a few minutes I couldn't help it, I just had to look.
So who can tell me WHY oh WHY little children cannot eat their ice cream cone in a symmetrical way. Why oh Why do they only eat one side? This is one of those questions we mothers ask and I don't think we will ever know the answer.
Anyway the only one doing that was little monkey #3 and once I pointed out that he needed to eat the other side too he was fine. I am a proud mother to tell you that I only had a few little drops of ice cream in my car and Monkey #1 cleaned them right up. It was a historic day in the history of Ice Cream Eating.

Puppies

For those of you that don't know. I have to darling little shih-tzu dogs. Oscar and Jersey. Well on Saturday night Jersey had her first batch of puppies!!!! Of coarse she had to start having them at about 11:30 p.m. So I stayed up all night with her. The last one came about 4:30 a.m. They are so cute!! 3 boys and 1 girl.

Now hopefully in about 2 months we can sell them. All though my kids are already trying to persuade me to keep them!

The many faces of Monkey #3

So my youngest little monkey is spoiled rotten. No really, spoiled rotten. I know I shouldn't have done it but now it is too late. Mind you he is almost 4 and he is home with me all day by himself, so he gets to do pretty much whatever he wants all day. But just look at him. He is so cute.

Don't get me wrong I think he is adorable. One day I found him like this.......
I guess he couldn't find a blanket so he climbed under my bed. The brown is my bedskirt and the teal is the duvet. It was so funny.

It is not so funny though when he changes his attitude at the blink of an eye!!!!

This happens more often than i would care to admit!!!

The things you can do with a Cracker!

Have you ever wondered what you could do with a cracker? I was thinking about saltines today as I was watching monkey #3 pack his package around the house with him. Its funny to me that I can buy all the different kinds of crackers in the world and my kids always go for the plain old saltine. I remembered that when I was a little girl I would eat these with butter on them. It was just so good. So next thing I know out comes the butter and guess what it is as good as I remember. Of course I am of the opinion anything is probably good as long as it has butter on it. But I was just wondering what else people like to eat on these crackers? That is if anyone ever checks my blog anymore since I haven't posted for what 2 months.

What a week

Have you ever just wondered if your life is going to get better. I guess I really just mean calmer.
On Sunday my Great Grandma Huff passed away. She was 96!! For more about her visit my cousins blog http://rnbwilkinson.blogspot.com/ So we have a funeral this week. Then Yesterday we found out my dear hubby has to have surgery. A few weeks ago he was really, really sick. I know this because he has only missed maybe 5 days of work, due to illness, in our 14 years of marriage. This man goes to work while puking even. Three of these sick days were taken in a row in that few weeks ago that he was soooo sick. After many tests and a trip to the hospital, they have figured out that he has gall stones. My hubby does not like to go to the doctor. He does not like the fact of going in for surgery. It took some serious talking to get him to even agree to this. Even after the doctor told him that he had most likely passed a gall stone, and that it makes it a little more serious. I am sure we will survive. Well, he will at least. I am not so sure about me. Taking care of him is worse than having all my kids sick at the same time.

Remember that boy...

  • Remember this boy..... Oh, yes its that Monkey #1 again. This is the conversation we had tonight.
Me: Hey bud how was your soccer game?

    Him: Great!

    Me: Did you win?

    Him: It was a Metaphor!

    Me: (very puzzled) What?

Him: you know mom a METAPHOR.

    Me: No, i guess I don't .

Him: Metaphor means tie mom, you know, it was 1 to 1.

Monkey #2: (he was observing all of this) "Yeah mom didn't you know that

Me: Oh yeah I guess I forgot
